Kehalani is a large, master-planned community of homes, townhomes, duplexes, and condominiums located at the foot of the West Maui Mountains above Wailuku town. Sales were started in 1998 and once complete, homes are planned to number around 2400, many of which are already finished and occupied. Because of the slope and elevation of the land, views from many of these homes are stunning. Many have unobstructed views of the harbor; others have obstructed ocean views but great mountain views. Night views of the city lights spread out below are breathtaking. The Kehalani Community Association has an excellent website listing the different neighborhoods comprising this community plus a Kehalani map. Kehalani House Rules are available here. House Rules Amendments: 01-01-2010, 01-01-2013, 04-19-2011, 07-08-2005, and 12-19-2012. Additional documents are stored for webmaster/homeowner reference. The Kehalani Village Center opened for business in 2012 and includes Foodland, Foodland Gas, Longs Drugs, Maui County Federal Credit Union (MCFCU), Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, and more. Adjacent are Walgreens (with Verizon and Fed-X services inside) and Starbucks. Only slightly farther away are a plethora of other businesses such as hardware, veterinary, physical therapy, additional banking and much, much more.
Kehalani is a planned community with rules & regulations for owners. The association will not provide a copy of the rules & regs but will let you know if you violate them via a fine. This seems odd but is current in 2024.
