Highlands at Kehalani
Located in Central Maui's Master-Planned Community of Kehalani on the Lower Slopes of the West Maui Mountains
Highlands at Kehalani is a DR Horton project announced mid-year in 2018 to consist of 82 single family homes. It will be similar to the adjacent DR Horton project of Ke'Alohilani shown in the aerial view foreground. Views looking down the mountain are sure to be stunning for some of the homes just like it is for Ke'Alohilani. As of April 2020, the majority of the homes are complete and many happy families are already living in Highlands.
A lottery was held November 18 to assign priority numbers to potential buyers. It is expected that single story homes at the edge of terraced slopes will be in high demand just as was the case for Ke'Alohilani. That is because those homes will have awesome, unobstructed views from inside the home. The developer does caution that there is no view plane guarantee.
As of early May, 2020, 57 homes had been sold at prices ranging from $657,335 to $815,500 with a median sale price of $719,435. I know from personal experience that prices vary not only for size and location but also for options selected.

The Kehalani Community Association has an excellent website listing the different projects comprising the entire Kehalani community. Included therein are maps and other information.The developer, DR Horton, also has a sales website although that has very little information now that the project is complete.
