Wailea and Makena boast many luxurious homes and condos offering amenities sure to please most any taste.  The area gets little rain so is almost always sunny with pleasant temperatures that most wouldn't change if they could.  In this area, most any day is a great beach or golfing day.

Wailea has a pleasing mix of homes, gated communities, and luxurious condos.  There are 3 beachfront condos, the Wailea Ekahi fronting Keawakapu beach, Wailea Elua Village fronting Ulua Beach and Wailea Beach Villas fronting Wailea Beach. In addition, Wailea Point is an oceanfront condo in Wailea located between the Four Seasons and the Fairmont Kea Lani resort hotels.  Many other fine condos are located further back from the ocean, many with golf course frontage. 

Further South, Makena has less density and more privacy.  It has 2 oceanfront condos, the Makena Surf and Maluaka at Makena (under construction).  The Na Hale O Makena sits further back from the ocean.  Also in Makena are homes and mansions, some boarding the local road, some tucked away and unseen.

Championship golf courses in this area include 3 Wailea Golf Club courses, the Wailea Old Blue, Wailea Gold, & Wailea Emerald plus the Makena Golf Course (under renovation, scheduled to reopen in 2014).  Also available are shopping and fine restaurants.
