Puuone Towers on Lower Main Street in Wailuku are located behind the Puuone Shopping Mall. At first glance it might not seem to be attractive but it does have several advantages including modest prices with some calling it a "sleeper".  It sits back away from Lower Main with a strip of commercial buildings between the condo and the street.  It has 131 units in two 5-story buildings.  Units are 2 bedrooms with most having 1.5 baths & 757 sq ft of living area (5 of them are significantly larger).  The property has a pool and the building is secured.  Long term rentals are fine but short term rentals are not.  What I like about this project are the relatively low prices and maintenance fees with a design I find much more appealing than nearby Harbor Lights (Maui's lowest price condos).

The commercial buildings themselves are within a parking garage making them hidden, dimly lit, and not a prime shopping area.  But hey, there are ample shopping opportunities nearby.  While out and about, try that little carry-out Mexican restaurant across the street called Fiesta Fun Time.  You'll likely be glad you did.
